Since 2011, Daltile has committed to supporting and encouraging students in the field of interior design, awarding $132,500 in scholarships. Now in its sixth year, Daltile, in partnership with the ASID Foundation and Booz Allen Hamilton, will award another $27,500 in scholarships to aspiring interior design students across the country.

Sustainability is revolutionizing the industry as interior design professionals are incorporating sustainability principles into their designs to improve the health of the occupants and surrounding communities. This year, Daltile and the ASID Foundation challenge students to reimagine the Booz Allen Hamilton Innovation Center by incorporating Fitwel components to create a stimulating and comfortable space for employees. Fitwel is a future-looking building certification focused on occupant and community well-being. Using the existing Booz Allen Hamilton Innovation Center footprint, students will be asked to look at the entire Innovation Center space and identify areas of opportunity throughout the floor plan that can be redesigned to increase occupant health and comfort, on budget.

Design solutions will be judged on their vision, functionality, human impact, innovation, and presentation.

To compete for the Daltile Interior Design Scholarship, you must be an undergraduate student studying interior design (or a related major) at an accredited college or university. Freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior students are eligible.
